Anissa Bachaou has been a student assistant at the INZIN Institute since February 2025.

She graduated from Görres Gymnasium in 2020. In June 2025, she completed her bachelor’s degree in nutritional science at the Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences.

She supports the INZIN Institute in particular with administrative tasks.


Klara Theobald

Klara Theobald is a scholarship holder and consultant at the INZIN Institute and conducts research in the field of circular economy. She completed her master’s degree in Environmental and Business Management at the Birkenfeld Environmental Campus of Trier University of Applied Sciences in February 2022. She then spent three years as a research assistant at the Birkenfeld Environmental Campus in the field of circular economy, conducting research on reusable systems.


Carina Diemel

Carina Diemel is a scholarship holder and consultant at the INZIN Institute and conducts research on heterogeneous recycled raw materials in steel production. She studied industrial engineering with a focus on mechanical engineering at the University of Paderborn and has several years of professional experience as a research assistant.

Daniel Ohl

Vita

Daniel Ohl has been a scholarship holder at the INZIN Institute since July 2024 and is researching new indicators and assessments of technologies for the circular economy. He completed his Master’s degree in Applied Chemistry at TH Köln in September 2023 with a focus on green and sustainable chemistry. Before that, he completed his Bachelor’s degree in Business Chemistry at Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf. Last year, he completed an internship at Prognos AG in the field of sustainability consulting with first projects in the field of circular economy and chemical recycling.


Sabrin Omri

Vita

Sabrin Omri graduated from Görres-Gymnasium in 2020 and has been studying film and television at Macromedia University in Cologne ever since. She is particularly interested in staging and portraying different realities of life.

She has been supporting the INZIN Institute since February 2024, particularly with administrative tasks.


Christian Großhauser

Vita

Christian Großhauser was born in Mallersdorf-Pfaffenberg in 1985 and has been a scholarship holder at the INZIN Institute since May 2023. As part of the scholarship, he conducts research on the topic of “Investigation and optimization of the methane formation rate in methanation reactors” on a pilot plant of MicroPyros BioEnerTec GmbH in Straubing. This is intended to make an important contribution to the green energy transition. Parallel to this research project, he continues to work as a project manager at Straubinger Energie- und Reststoffverwertungs GmbH (SER GmbH). There he works in the fields of wastewater treatment, (thermal) sewage sludge disposal, phosphorus recovery and energy generation from biogenic materials. He completed his degree in industrial engineering with a focus on mechanical engineering at Kempten University of Applied Sciences in 2015. Before making the switch to wastewater treatment, he gained years of experience in the automotive industry.


Pauline Jegen

Vita

Pauline Jegen, born in Aachen in 1996, has been a scholarship holder at the INZIN Institute since October 2021 and is funded by Remondis. Ms. Jegen also works as a research assistant at TU Dortmund University.

She previously studied industrial engineering with a specialization in civil engineering at RWTH Aachen University. She focused on the specializations of water management and sustainability and cooperation. During her studies, she gained practical experience in construction management and project management as well as in an engineering office for wastewater management and technical services.


Konstantin Saure

Vita

Konstantin Saure has been a scholarship holder and lecturer at the INZIN Institute since January 2023 and is develops a “Resource strategy for the state capital Düsseldorf” as part of his scholarship at Stadtwerke Düsseldorf. During his Master’s degree, he worked as a research assistant on the state-funded project “WIR!-Bündnis REEgion now – Regionales Wertschöpfungsbündnis Lifelines in NWB”. He completed his Master’s degree in the interdisciplinary course “Energy Efficiency of Technical Systems” at Brandenburg University of Applied Sciences. Prior to this, he completed his Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering at the Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences.


Prof. Dr. Martin Faulstich

Martin Faulstich has held the Chair of Resource and Energy Systems at the Technical University of Dortmund since 2020, having previously held chairs at Clausthal University of Technology and the Technical University of Munich. He has also taught and conducted research as a visiting professor at several universities. He has many years of experience in the realignment and establishment of economic research centers. These include the restructuring of a traditional steel research facility in Sulzbach-Rosenberg and the founding of the science center in Straubing.

Martin Faulstich has also been active in policy consulting for many years, including as Chairman of the German Advisory Council on the Environment from 2008 to 2013 and currently as Co-Chairman of the Resources Commission at the Federal Environment Agency. He is a member of committees of renowned institutions, including the Academy for Spatial Development in the Leibniz Association (ARL), ifo Institute for Economic Research, EUREF-Campus Berlin, Hamburg Institute HiiCCE, Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research until 2018, Daimler and Benz Foundation until 2022 as well as international committees in the EU, Austria, Czech Republic, Belarus and Singapore.

Martin Faulstich is editor of the magazine Nachhaltige Industrie and on the advisory boards of the magazines Müll und Abfall, Wasser und Abfall and EnergieRecht.
