Bio

Since July 2022, Dr. Ulrich Teich has been working as Senior Advisor for the INZIN Institute, supporting the team with his many years of legal experience in legal and contractual matters.

After studying law at the Universities of Heidelberg, Oxford and Würzburg and completing his legal clerkship in Munich, he was admitted to the bar and has been practicing in Düsseldorf ever since. His work focuses primarily on labor law, corporate law, skilled labor immigration and immigration law, and today also environmental law and renewable energy law. Several stays in China and Hong Kong, along with his work at a German international law firm, laid the foundation for his advice on investments by German companies in China and, more recently, increasingly on investments by Chinese companies in Germany. This has led to cooperation with the German Chambers of Commerce Abroad throughout the Asian region, especially in China and Hong Kong.

His expertise in German and international commercial and business law formed the basis for a teaching assignment at the University of Duisburg-Essen.

In 1987, he helped found the DCW Deutsch-Chinesische Wirtschaftsvereinigung (German-Chinese Business Association), initially based in Cologne and now in Düsseldorf. The DCW is the leading organization for advising and supporting German and Chinese companies in Germany and China.

He is now a recognized expert in international commercial, corporate and business law. Since joining the INZIN Institute, he has also been a member of the Working Group on Fundamental Issues of Resource Management of the German Waste Management Association (DGAW).
