Ten companies nominated for the Environmental Economy Award.NRW 2022
Under the motto ‘Good for the economy – better for the environment’, the Ministry of the Environment has awarded the Environmental Economy Prize for the second time this year in collaboration with NRW.BANK.
The Environmental Economy Award is aimed at innovative companies in the green economy that contribute to further expanding North Rhine-Westphalia’s pioneering role in the field of environmental economics. Prize money of 60,000 euros awaits the winners, who are selected by an independent jury. The presentation of the Environmental Economy Award is planned for November 2022.
From a total of 58 applications, the jury evaluated the most innovative and sustainable companies and selected ten nominees for the Environmental Economy Award.NRW. Nominations go to Aachen, Düsseldorf, Essen, Cologne, Menden and Münster.
The following ten companies have been selected and nominated for the Environmental Economy Award NRW 2022:

- Cornelsen Environmental Technology Ltd., Essen
- Everwave GmbH, Aachen
- GoFlux Mobility GmbH, Cologne
- Humuswerkstatt Worth und Frey GbR, Cologne
- Lumoview Building Analytics GmbH, Köln
- MPG Mendener Präzisionsrohr GmbH, Menden
- Plastic2Beans GmbH, Cologne
- Retraced GmbH, Düsseldorf
- Soliterm Group, Aachen
The entries demonstrate the enormous economic, ecological and creative potential of the green economy in North Rhine-Westphalia. The industry is developing important solutions for environmental and climate protection, making it a key partner on the path to sustainable living and economic activity. I wish the nominees and all participating companies continued success – a strong environmental economy benefits businesses, nature and people alike,” said Dr Heinrich Bottermann, State Secretary at the North Rhine-Westphalia Ministry of the Environment.

It is therefore an important catalyst for North Rhine-Westphalia’s transformation into a low-emission and climate-resilient economy.’
