6. Doctoral student seminar

From The 6th doctoral seminar with Prof. Dr. Martin Faulstich’s doctoral students took place at TU Dortmund University from 27 to 28 March. The seminar began with a tour of Westnetz GmbH’s H2HoWi hydrogen project in Holzwickede, where a public natural gas pipeline is being fed with 100% green hydrogen (H₂) for the first time. Three companies are connected to this sub-network and use the H₂ to generate part of the space heating they require. This was followed by presentations on three doctoral projects at TU Dortmund University.

The second day began with an insight into the services offered by the Statistical Consulting and Analysis (SBAZ) department at the Centre for Higher Education, which, among other things, supports doctoral students with statistical methods in their dissertations. After the presentation of another doctoral project, the participants brainstormed together to improve mutual support and concluded with a collegial feedback round. Overall, the doctoral seminar was once again a complete success, and we look forward to the next one – on 17 and 18 July in Düsseldorf and Dortmund.
