On 20 August, doctoral scholarship holder Carina Diemel accompanied Environment Minister Oliver Krischer’s delegation as a representative of the Green Economy Network.NRW during their visit to Talbot-Services GmbH in Aachen as part of his summer tour. The delegation included Lara Wever (Head of Department VIII B 4) and other representatives of the Ministry of the Environment.

An exciting presentation by Managing Director Dirk Reuters on the company’s history, its core competencies and the planned expansion investments in Stolberg was followed by a tour of the company.

Talbot Services GmbH focuses on servicing and modernising rail vehicles, thereby making an important contribution to sustainability. Vehicles are brought up to the latest technical standards, visually upgraded and their service life significantly extended. During the tour of the various halls, the areas of maintenance and servicing as well as vehicle preparation and painting were presented.
