Think Tank
A think tank
for shaping
structural change.
The world’s population and economies are growing, and this is inevitably accompanied by growth in the demand for energy and resources. However, prosperity can only be maintained in our world of limited materials if growth can be successfully
decoupled from resources consumption.
This decoupling process is based on two pillars. Climate change requires a complex transformation in energy systems that will lead to a greenhouse-gas-neutral economy. The shortage of commodities requires a raw material shift, as the increasing demand can only be met by recycled raw materials. On the one hand, this necessary structural change can no longer be halted; on the other hand, it needs to be tapped to create constructive perspectives for industrial society.
